The Dirty Boots Coffee Company Story

The Coffee Fueling a Revolution

Every morning, almost 70% of the world wakes up knowing they’ve got a day full of challenges ahead. The heavy lifting, the relentless weather, the deadlines, the problem-solving—it’s a fight, a daily grind that requires grit and determination. And before they tackle these challenges head-on, they do one thing: brew a pot of coffee. That’s the oil that gets the machine running, the fuel that gets them ready to conquer the day.

Phil Rogacki knows this better than most because he’s lived it his entire life. A tradesman by birth and by choice, Phil comes from a long line of hardworking men who built their lives with their hands. His dad, grandpa, and uncles were all part of the trades—concrete, masonry, carpentry, and electrical work. For Phil, the trades aren’t just a job; they’re a legacy. Over the past 15 years, he’s dedicated himself to building three successful companies in concrete, asphalt, and trees. But his passion doesn’t stop there. Phil also runs Academy Trained, a tree climbing trade school committed to elevating the standards of the industry, and hosts Two Tree Guys, a podcast devoted to the Arborist trade.

Phil’s life has been a testament to the power and purpose of the trades. But as he looked to the future, he saw a looming crisis: in the next 10 years, we’re going to lose over 40% of our skilled workforce. And yet, society continues to push the narrative that success only comes from a college degree. But Phil knows the truth: while many have degrees, few have a trade—a skill that not only provides a living but builds a nation.

This realization led Phil to a simple but profound idea one morning. With a cup of coffee in hand and his dirty boots laced up, he thought, “Why not create a force that can help change America?” And just like that, Dirty Boots Coffee was born.

Dirty Boots Coffee isn’t just about selling coffee; it’s about fueling a movement. Every cup you buy helps support the very trades that keep America moving. With $1 from every pound sold going directly to the trade of your choice, you’re not just fueling your body—you’re investing in the future of our nation. Whether it’s funding trade schools, apprenticeship programs, or building training curriculums, your cup of coffee is making a real difference.

Phil knew he couldn’t do it alone. That’s when he reached out to Dennis Dumas, a true tradesman with a background in electrical work and fire mitigation, a man who has dedicated his life to building and helping others. When Phil asked Dennis if he was in, Dennis didn’t hesitate for a second. Together, they searched for the best beans, determined to find a coffee that would be the perfect fuel for any worker, no matter the challenge. And they found it with the help of Steward Fritchman, a master roaster with 30 years of experience in the coffee industry..

So, whether you’re clocking in for the day or burning the midnight oil, know that your cup of Dirty Boots Coffee is more than just a drink – it’s a salute to the hardworking men and women who wear their dirty boots with pride. Join us in this journey, one cup at a time, as we brew stronger communities and empower future generations to build, fix, and grow.

Thank you for being a part of the Dirty Boots Coffee Company family. Here’s to many more mornings and midnights, powered by the spirit of the workforce and the heart of community support.
